Arganzuela
Arganzuela is a district located in the south-central area of Madrid. It is known for being a dynamic neighbourhood that has gone through an important urban renewal process in recent decades. It is surrounded by very popular areas such as Atocha, Legazpi and Delicias, and it stands out for being close to the Manzanares River, which gives the area many green spaces. For students, it is a very convenient area thanks to its proximity to Atocha Station, which connects with other parts of the city and the rest of the country. Although Arganzuela is mainly a residential area, it has a wide range of leisure and cultural options, from the Railway Museum to the new open spaces around the river. It is an excellent option for students who want to live close to the centre of Madrid, but in a more relaxed environment and with a slightly more affordable cost of living.
Arganzuela

Matadero Madrid - cultural center
The former municipal slaughterhouse converted into a cultural space is one of the capital's most active contemporary art centers. Exhibitions, theater, cinema and workshops in a restored industrial complex.

Madrid Río and green spaces
The linear Madrid Río park borders the district with bike lanes, play areas and rest areas along the Manzanares. A high-quality public space that transforms neighborhood life.

Modern architecture and urban renewal
Arganzuela has undergone a deep urban transformation that has turned former industrial warehouses into homes and creative spaces. A constantly evolving neighborhood with character of its own.

Close to the historic center
Just a few minutes from Madrid de los Austrias and Lavapiés, Arganzuela lets you enjoy the center without paying its prices. The best balance between location, quality and cost of living.
